The Girgentina is a local grape variety that is grown in Malta and sometimes blended with Chardonnay. The wine is characterized by its rich and complex style, with flavours of tropical fruits, citrus, and green apple. It's considered a dry wine with good acidity and a moderate alcohol content, typically around 12% alcohol by volume. The wine may be aged in oak barrels, which can impart notes of vanilla, butter and a creamy texture.
