It is one of the largest and most well-known rum producers in the world and is known for its distinctive white rum, as well as a variety of other rum products. The company was started by Don Facundo Bacardi Massó, and is still owned and operated by the Bacardi family. The company's flagship product, Bacardi Superior, is a white rum that is aged for at least one year in oak barrels and then filtered to remove any colour.
