Malibu is a brand of coconut-flavoured rum liqueur that is produced by Pernod Ricard. The rum is made from Caribbean rum and flavoured with coconut extract. It is often used in tropical cocktails such as the Pina Colada, and can also be consumed on the rocks or as a shot. The alcohol content of Malibu rum is typically around 21% alcohol by volume (42 proof).
